Ivan Galić is a photographer from Split, Croatia, who began his photography journey in 2009, following earlier interests in illustration and short animated films.
Photography soon became his primary focus, as reflected in his success at various exhibitions and contests: he won the Gold Medal for Best Photograph at the Vinkovci 2011 Photography Exhibition; participated in Croatian national print selections at the 16th FIAP Nature Print Biennial (Norway), the 24th FIAP Colour Print Biennial (Turkey), and the 33rd FIAP Black and White Biennial (South Korea); won the Popular Photography magazine Photo Challenge in August 2015; and received the Best Photo of the Year 2015 award from Otvoreno more (Open Sea) magazine.
His photographs have been exhibited at various shows (2010–2025), earning several honorable mentions and being published in numerous magazines.
In the realm of non-photographic recognition, his animated short silent film Urlator (The Howler) won the Best Short Amateur Film award, based on audience votes, at the Pula 2012 Film Festival.
